KYZEN has expanded its manufacturing operations in Penang with a new facility aimed at increasing production capacity and technical support for the semiconductor, electronics and other advanced manufacturing industries.
The new facility, officially opened today, expands the company’s operational and staffing capacity after more than 16 years of operations in Penang.
KYZEN said the facility would support higher production capacity, faster product delivery and technical services for customers in Malaysia and the Asia-Pacific region.
It will also serve customers in sectors including semiconductors, electronics, automotive, medical devices and industrial manufacturing, with advanced manufacturing technologies and sustainable operating practices incorporated into its operations.
The expansion comes as Malaysia continues to attract investment into its manufacturing sector. According to the Malaysian Investment Development Authority (MIDA), the country secured RM51.3 billion in approved investments across 973 manufacturing projects in the first half of 2026.
Deputy Investment, Trade and Industry Minister Sim Tze Tzin said the expansion reflected the role of investment in supporting innovation, talent development and advanced manufacturing capabilities.
“KYZEN’s expansion in Penang is more than an investment in facilities. It is a commitment to innovation, people, and the future of advanced manufacturing. By bringing world-class cleaning technologies and technical expertise closer to its customers in Southeast Asia, KYZEN is strengthening the region’s manufacturing ecosystem while creating valuable opportunities for local talent and industry collaboration,” he said.
MIDA chief executive officer Datuk Sikh Shamsul Ibrahim Sikh Abdul Majid said continued expansion by established investors supported the growth of Malaysia’s semiconductor, electronics and advanced manufacturing industries.
The facility is also expected to support regional supply chain resilience and talent development through collaboration with industry stakeholders, educational institutions and government agencies.
