Alliance Bank Launches Mobile Application

Alliance Bank Malaysia Berhad launches its first mobile banking application to simplify and enhance customers overall banking experience with the Bank. The new Alliance Online Mobile Banking app offers customers access to online banking services, including viewing of account balances, transaction flows, and e-deposits placements in a hassle-free manner.

Among the features of the app is Smart Reminder, a personalised payment assistant with a reminder feature utilising leading edge technology to learn payment behaviours of users, ensuring customers do not miss a payment again. Other features include Easy Search where customers can make recurring payments easily by searching for past transactions based on account holder’s name, account number and even purpose of payment. Mobile Secure Approval strengthens web and mobile transaction security by turning the customers’ mobile phones into a security token unique to them via push notifications.

Joel Kornreich, Group Chief Executive Officer of Alliance Bank says, “Malaysia is increasingly becoming a mobile-first market. This is evident in the significantly increasing use of mobile internet in Malaysia in the last few years. It is only natural for us to cater to the evolving digital lifestyle of tech-savvy Malaysians with our Alliance Online Mobile Banking app. With our new mobile banking app, we want to offer them another future-proof banking platform alternative to match their banking needs.”

According to the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission, there are 42.4 million mobile phone subscriptions in Q3 2017, translating to a penetration rate of 132% among Malaysians. Mobile also accounted for over 93% of all broadband connections in Malaysia. As part of its Transformation agenda, Alliance Bank has developed fast, simple and responsive solutions that are aligned to customers needs in Alliance One Account, Alliance Cash2Home, Alliance SavePlus Account and now, the Alliance Online mobile banking app.
