Proton has introduced four grades of Proton Genuine Oil (PGO), dubbed PGO 1 to PGO 4, which include fully synthetic, semi-synthetic, and mineral lubricants.
Taking advantage of its close collaboration with its technical partners, the PGO range of lubricants is formulated specifically for Proton’s engines by Petronas.
“We worked closely with our partners on the formulation to ensure it met our exacting requirements and offered our customers the engine protection their Proton models deserve at an affordable price,” says Roslan Abdullah, Chief Executive Officer, Proton Edar.
They’re now available at all authorised Proton service centres in viscosity levels of 5W30 SP, 5W30 SN, 10W30 SN, and 15W40 SN, with API SP and API SN ratings.
The lubricants will also be available from parts stockists, though only for the PGO 3 and PGO 4. Retail prices range from RM 78 (PGO 4), RM 105 (PGO 3), RM 159 (PGO 2), and RM 163 (PGO 2) for the PGO 3 and PGO 4, respectively (PGO 1).
