MyEG To Work On eDriving Test System For JPJ

MyEG has gotten the nod from the Road Transport Department to commence the proof of concept to set up an Automated Training and Driving Test System or e-Testing to assess the competencies of candidates undergoing the Drivers’ Learning Education Curriculum.

While the POC will have no contract value but the proposition for transforming the driving licence process can be immensely valuable for MyEG and also the potential applicants if the digital application gets started. According to the Bursa filing, the work will commence from 1 December 2021 until 1 February 2022.

During that POC stage, RTD will have the opportunity to evaluate the specifications and suitability of the e-Testing system for commercialisation.

Every year the road transport agency passes hundred of thousands of drivers, however, the current system is seen as archaic and cumbersome with a physical presence and long queues still is mandatory. This could change for the learning portion of the test with e-Testing and online submission which is what MyEG is proposing.

Securing the RTD the deal will be a major coup for the group and will definitely add value to its portfolio and potential recurring revenue for the company.
