Sarawak’s Asteel Group Claims First Win At HR Excellence Awards

Home-grown Sarawak company, ASTEEL Group, bagged the Bronze Award for Excellence in Business Transformation at the recent HR Excellence Awards 2021, held at Sheraton Petaling Jaya Hotel recently; its first win that is timely as it celebrates its 25th anniversary in November 2021.

Further, the ASTEEL Group emerged as the only Sarawakian company that was awarded for its remarkable achievement in Business Transformation.

“This is a significant milestone for us as it demonstrates the dedication of our Group that has remained steadfast in driving long-term sustainable growth, ensuring shareholders’ value creation, safeguarding our corporate reputation, and strengthening our investors’ confidence.

As part of its 5-year master plan, ASTEEL Group has begun its Smart Manufacturing journey this year to support its long-term business sustainability and to continue producing quality and affordable products while reducing its carbon footprint. In addition, ASTEEL is collaborating with leading academic partners to support the learning and development of its employees to equip them with skills of the future to remain resilient.

The HR Excellence Awards 2021 is a platform to honour and showcase excellent Human Resources strategies and initiatives by outstanding companies and individuals from leading brands around the region.
