The Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry has decided to postone the farmers day event HPPNK, scheduled to take place at World Trade Center Kuala Lumpur in hybrid mode. National Farmers, Breeders and Fishermen's Day Celebration which was already postponed since last year, was suppose to take place on the on 21 to 23 December 2021 but will now be rescheduled to another date, the Ministry stated. According to a press release sent to the media, the postponement was due to the catastrophic floods that have hit the nation which is also affecting several locations around the Klang Valley. The Ministry hopes the postponement would allow relief efforts to take place and assist those who are severely impacted. This decision was also in consideration of the farmers and fisherman who are facing difficult period at the moment and would rather focus on the aftermath. The mission now is for the Ministry to offer assistance to the community and ensire the entire agro -food chain is secure and to guarantee the continuity of food supply.
