Proton Offers 20% Discount On Parts And Labour For Flood Affected Cars

Private company’s and in general all Malaysians are coming together to the plight of the flood victims who need all the assistance and help they can get at this moment. With food donations, financial assistance to clothes, and daily necessities, it can be said that a little goes a long way.

Responding to the call, Proton is also doing its bid to aid the flood-impacted vehicle owners who are faced with not only muddy homes but also sludged cars. Those whose Protons have been damaged by flood water can now send to Proton to be checked and fixed with special deals.

“The floods have affected thousands and especially hit hard in Selangor and Shah Alam where PROTON is headquartered. Many of our customers have seen their homes and businesses damaged by flood waters and this extends to their cars as well. Therefore, PROTON would like to offer a helping hand to get them back on the road and show our customers they are our main priority,” said Roslan Abdullah, Chief Executive Officer, Proton Edar. 

The national car brand will offer a 20% discount on selected parts as well as a 20% discount on labour charges for all customers affected by the flood who have lodged a police report regarding the incident. Additionally, towing charges of up to RM200 as well as cleaning charges for the exterior and engine bay up to RM100 will also be borne by the company.

PROTON will be working hard to ensure we can repair cars as quickly as possible and advise all affected customers to visit our authorized service centers to enjoy these benefits. Furthermore, our genuine parts are offered with a warranty so they can be assured of the quality of the repairs.

Proton production plant in Shah Alam-the worst hit area in Selangor- was spared from the devastating flooding that took place over the weekend, however, more than 1,000 of its staff have been affected and will be needing aid which the company is taking care.
