SunCon has secured 2 contracts each from Gopeng Berhad and Sharp Ventures Solar for the commissioning of solar photovoltaics construction in Perak and Klang respectively. The total project is valued at RM385 million.
The Sunway Construction group, received the letter of intent from GBS Suria Sdn Bhd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Gopeng Berhad, for the Design, Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Testing and Commissioning of Solar Photovoltaic Energy Generating Facility with Ancillary Equipment and Facilities with Generating Capacity of 50MW located Daerah Kampar, Perak Darul Ridzuan which falls under the LSS4 Project 1 for RM200 million. The LSS4 Project 1 must be completed and achieve the commercial operation date of December 2023 as required by Suruhanjaya Tenaga.
As for the second contract, it was awarded by Sharp Ventures Solar Sdn Bhd for the Design, Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Testing and Commissioning of Solar Photovoltaic Energy Generating Facility with Ancillary Equipment and Facilities with Generating Capacity of 50MW located Klang, Selangor under the LSS4 Project 2 for RM185 million. The LSS4 Project 2 has to be completed by 2023 as well.
According to Suncon, the total new projects awarded this year including the LSS4 Projects amounted to RM1.474 billion.
