MaGIC Appoints Khalid Yashaiya As Acting CEO

Malaysian Global Innovation and Creativity Centre welcomes a new Acting Chief Officer after Amiruddin Abdul Shukor who was also an acting CEO stepped down.

Amiruddin took over the reins soon after CEO Dzuleira Abu Bakar was seconded to TPM to lead the transformation agenda over at the technological hub.

Khalid who is listed on LinkedIn wrote that he has 12+ years of experience in Business Development, Strategic Planning, Digital Transformation, Project Management, and Performance Management with experience in Fintech, Media & Content, and the Financial Institution industry.

Prior to joining Magic, he held the Business development portfolio managing dealings across Ministries, GLCs and Education verticals. He was also involved in growth development and go-to-market strategies for the user base, merchant expansion, and GTV. Additionally, Khalid managed the End-to-end partner management including stakeholder management, use-case conceptualization, campaign development, merchant deployment, and user activation.

MaGIC falls under the purview of the Ministry of Science and Technology and is now a component of a new entity called MRANTI headed by Dzuleira.
