Sime Darby Auto ConneXion (SDAC), the sole distributor of Ford in Malaysia, today unveiled a new brand experiential programme called “Ford Ranger Getaways” to provide enthusiasts to experience the versatility of the Ranger Life with like-minded individuals or be guided to discover the potential of their Ranger themselves, through specially designed excursions.

Over the years, the Ranger has transformed from a purely utilitarian workhorse and is now leading the pack as a versatile and premium truck that is sought after for work, family and play, whilst maintaining its Built Ford Tough DNA. In line with the five guiding principles under our new Live the Ranger Life brand essence, Ford Ranger Getaways aims to offer experiences that push the boundaries of what people perceive a pickup truck to be.

“We also believe that this attracts new customers to our Ford Ranger brand.” said Turse Zuhair, Managing Director, Sime Darby Auto ConneXion-Ford.

An industry first, the programme is designed to provide a unique experience of Living the Ranger Life through a series of handpicked local adventures. The new brand experience platform was crafted based on customer feedback, which underlined their desire for wanting to network with like-minded individuals, expanding their lifestyle to enhance work-life balance and spending more quality time with family and friends.

Ford Ranger Getaways covers a multitude of interest categories to cater to Malaysians from all walks of life who desire short local adventures, be it on their own, with friends and family or for those who simply want to meet like-minded individuals. It is open to all Ranger customers from 5 February 2022 onwards.

Each getaway has been thoughtfully curated to showcase the multiformity of the Ford Ranger lifestyle – from fun city outings and outdoor or off-road excursions to foodie trails and even flying a plane through Kuala Lumpur City Centre (KLCC). There is also a one-of-a-kind on and off-road experience within the vicinity of Sepang, which will be held on 26 February for performance-certified Ranger Raptor owners and on 27 February for all other Ranger owners.

The programme also simultaneously aims to help boost domestic tourism, which have been hard-hit by the pandemic and to support as many local businesses as possible. These businesses have been selected for their adventures that align with the Ranger Life core values.

There are a total of 15 experiences to choose from and these activities will be refreshed from time to time to ensure the outings are kept interesting. The getaways on offer include half-day, full-day or overnight trips and prices start from as low as RM98 per person and rangesup to RM2,133, depending on the package of choice. Once proud owners of Rangers book their getaway, all they need to do is drive their Ford Ranger to the destination of choice and buckle up for a memorable Ranger Life experience.
