No Further Injunction Against Axiata, Celcom On TuneTalk’s Dispute

Axiata which is being brought to legal means by Padda Gurtaj Singh, East Pacific Capital Ltd, and Tune Strategic Investments Limited who are shareholders of Tune Talk Sdn Bhd with regards to the impending merger with Digi, has stated that there is no further injunction issued by the courts on the matter.

This is in reference to Tune Talk filing an arbitration notice against Axiata to exclude the 5 million shares or 35% stake in Celcom Axiata as part of the merger. The matter according to Axiata is to be brought forward before the Asian International Arbitration Centre.

In respect of the injunction filed to the High Court of Malaya by the Tune Talk parties, Axiata claims that no interim relief and/or injunction has been ordered by the High Court against Axiata, Celcom, and/or Celcom Mobile.

It states that it will make further announcements as and when there are material developments on the court matter.
