Honda Malaysia has unveiled its All-New City Hatchback RS e:HEV variant and announced the price of it.
For the first time, the Honda City model is offered to Malaysians in a hatchback body type and equipped with e:HEV technology.
“We launched the All-New City Hatchback in December 2021 and the response from Malaysians have been overwhelming. To-date, we have collected more than 5,200 bookings. As mentioned during the launch, we are pleased to announce the price of the All-New City Hatchback RS e:HEV variant today, at RM107,783.09 *1. We are confident that the All-New City Hatchback RS e:HEV will set the benchmark in the market with its complete package of stylish RS exterior, e:HEV powertrain, Honda SENSING and advanced telematics Honda CONNECT. It will be an attraction to customers especially the younger audience,” Ms. Madoka Chujo, Honda Malaysia Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer.
The All-New City Hatchback is designed to be an ‘Energetic Hatchback’ and the exclusive RS e:HEV variant adds a sporty impression to it. This variant comes with Gloss Black – Front Grill, Solid Wing and Door Mirrors, to give a two-toned body colour expression. The RS e:HEV exclusive shape is featured in the areas of Lower Grill, Fog Garnish and Rear Bumper. This variant comes with LED Headlights with LED Daytime Running Lights (DRL), LED Front Fog Lights, Tailgate Spoiler and LED Rear Combi Lights. The 16-inch Alloy Wheels on the All-New City Hatchback RS e:HEV variant further complements the sleek appearance of the hatchback.
The All-New City Hatchback RS e:HEV is powered by the 1.5L Sports intelligent Multi-Mode Drive (i-MMD) powertrain and coupled with Electric Continuous Variable Transmission (e-CVT). The powertrain delivers 109PS and segment leading 253Nm of torque equivalent to a D-segment Naturally Aspirated engine torque performance. The RS e:HEV variant’s advanced 2-motor hybrid system regulates between three driving modes: EV, Hybrid and Engine drive modes, that will switch alternately in accordance to the driving conditions of the driver.
Other advanced first-in-segment features in the All-New City Hatchback RS e:HEV are Honda LaneWatch, Electric Parking Brake (EPB) and Remote Engine Start. This top of the range model is also equipped with Honda SENSING, the most complete advanced safety features in its segment.
Honda CONNECT, the innovative advanced technology which applies smart Telematics Technology is exclusively available in the All-New City Hatchback RS e:HEV variant. Ensuring Safety, Security and Convenience, Honda CONNECT allows users to connect with their cars with a touch of their fingertips via a smartphone application. Key functions of the Telematics technology in Honda CONNECT are aimed at easing owner’s accessibility to their vehicle and its information at all times.
The All-New City Hatchback RS e:HEV comes in three colour options – Ignite Red Metallic, Meteoroid Gray Metallic and Platinum White Pearl.
