SEM9 and TOKENIZE Sign RM15 Million Multi-Year Deal, Marrying Esports and Crypto

Malaysia-based esports organisation SEM9 announced a multi-year deal worth more than RM15 million with Tokenize as its main title sponsor and Cryptocurrency Exchange Partner.

This partnership will be the first marriage between crypto and gaming, and it will set a new bar for how sponsorship and partnership work hand in hand.

In a statement, Tokenize’s said that this is the first foray into esports and adds to the company’s ever-growing portfolio of partners, including Southeast Asian tech giant Grab Holdings, global payments solution provider Checkout.com and more.

Through the strategic partnership, Tokenize and SEM9’s digital-native audiences are set to converge and provide a drive for financial literacy, education, and awareness of esports and cryptocurrency.

It said that the multi-sided partnership will see Tokenize’s logo featured on the middle chest and upper back of SEM9’s team jersey. SEM9 will also offer fans multiple rewards and invaluable experiences. This partnership is also poised to birth new exciting digital products, such as exclusive SEM9 NFTs, in the coming future.

Tommy Chieng, Chairman of SEM9 said: “Many partners have approached us in the crypto space, and our chief concern was whether they are credible, safe, and sustainable. I’m happy to announce that Tokenize is the partner we believe is highly credible, safe, and here for the long term.

Together with Qi Yu’s vision, we believe that we can build a safe space for our fans and audience. For all of us here at SEM9, this is a ground-breaking partnership, and we couldn’t be more excited for what’s ahead as we march together with Tokenize into Web3 and the metaverse”.
