Perdana Petroleum Starts 2022 Positively With RM9.6 Million Order From Petronas Carigali

Perdana Petroleum Berhad via its wholly-owned subsidiary, Perdana Nautika Sdn Bhd has received work orders award from Petronas Carigali Sdn Bhd for provision of three units of Anchor Handling Tug & Supply Vessels.

These vessels are mainly built to handle anchors for oil rigs, tow them to location, and use them to secure the rigs in place. AHTS vessels sometimes also serve as Emergency Response and Rescue Vessels and as supply transports.

The total estimated contract values are approximately RM9.6 million, Petronas Carigali has given three different duration periods for each of the contracts with one already commenced work.

Perdana will provide the 3 units AHTS vessel with crews and equipment to perform 24-hour services for assisting and/or servicing drilling rigs, offshore installation, derrick barges, towing, and anchor jobs.

The group has been enduring a difficult time with its 2021 financial performance hitting a low period, its 4th quarter ended with RM258 million losses compared to a profit in 2020.
