Finance Minister, Tengku Zafrul in his Facebook posting said the EPF Special Withdrawal of RM10,000 has now been changed to April 18 instead of the earlier announced April 20.
The date change he said came about after requests were made to him for the release date to be made much earlier.
This was the FB post on the Minister’s official page;
A lot of messages and comments on my social media, “YB, can the production of KWSP be faster? “I hear your voice. Therefore, after discussing with the KWSP, it is pleased to be informed that the special expenses of the KWSP will be credited gradually starting April 18, 2022 instead of April 20, 2022 as previously announced. I hope this production will make the celebration of Aidilfitri even more joyful #KeluargaMalaysia, InsyaAllah.
The Minister also posted a short video together with the caption.
It is estimated the retirement fund received 5.3 million applications and over RM40.1 billion is scheduled to be dispersed under this scheme.
