KLCI Traced Rebound in Wall Street

Kuala Lumpur, Apr 20–Bursa Malaysia closed broadly higher on Wednesday with positive market breadth. The overnight Wall Street rallied amid the news of positive corporate earnings albeit the optimism might be short-term and cautious in nature. Most of the major Asia-Pacific market closed mixed today, even those ended in positive territory were in cautious optimism. The subdued optimism could be read as the disappointment over the People’s Bank of China’s inaction on its interest rate i.e. one-year loan prime rate unchanged at 3.70% and its five-year loan prime rate unchanged at 4.60%.
