GoPayz, the standalone universal e-wallet developed by U Mobile, has partnered up with Tulus Digital (Tulus), an Islamic social finance fintech company, to enable Muslims to securely and conveniently pay their zakat online via the GoPayz e-wallet in 6 new states. They are Kelantan, Johor, Perlis, Negeri Sembilan, Sabah and Sarawak and users may already access the service via the GoPayz app.

To use this feature, users simply need to tap on the Islamic Services option in the GoPayz app and users will be guided through the process. Users can complete their zakat payments in three easy steps.

- Step 3: Select Payment Mode
With this latest addition, GoPayz will now offer a total of 12 states’ zakat collection centres for their Muslim users to pay zakat online. This makes the GoPayz e-wallet the one with the greatest number of states’ zakat collection centres available for online payment in Malaysia. The complete list of states’ zakat collection centres available on GoPayz include Perak, Kedah, Selangor, Wilayah Persekutuan (Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya and Labuan), Pulau Pinang, Pahang, Kelantan, Johor, Perlis, Negeri Sembilan, Sabah and Sarawak.
