Exabytes Acquires Aegis; First Subscription-Based Provider Offering Specialised CDR Service

All-in-one Business Cloud, Digital and e-Commerce solutions provider, Exabytes has completed the acquisition of Infinity Consulting Technology Sdn Bhd (ICT), a specialist in Enterprise Disaster Recovery and backup services, under the brand Aegis. Aegis is the first subscription-based provider offering specialised Cloud Disaster Recovery (CDR) service, with its main client base being the Enterprise segment. This acquisition is a strategic move by Exabytes to expand its domain in the Enterprise business and lead cloud-first digital transformation in Malaysia and the Asian region.

Our acquisition of ICT, or Aegis gives us an edge in Enterprise business solutions, especially disaster recovery services. ”This 100% acquisition of Aegis allows us to immediately offer Exabytes current portfolio of clients, made up of 160,000 SMEs and business enterprises worldwide, a cost effective digital business continuity, disaster recovery and data protection services, which are much needed solutions with the rapid adoption and expansion of e-commerce globally, in recent years”  Chan added.

Exabytes brings to the business world over two decades of experience in e-Commerce, cloud-first digital transformation. It serves over 160,000 SMEs in 121 countries. With the acquisition, Exabytes will expand its product and services to business restoration, backup, replication or standby server for Disaster Recovery (DR) services and facilities with flexible and attractive plans.
