Trust and wills company Rockwills Group is taking action against a media website over an article alleging leaks of personal data of its customers.
Rockwills said the article is fake and says the media company acknowledges the mistake. The group proceeded to lodge a police report and reported it to the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission accordingly. It further added that it hoped the authorities would take this seriously, conduct a thorough investgaton and bring the perpetrators to justice.
The company reiterates that it subscribes fully to the Personal Data Protection act and has invested heavily in protecting the sensitive personal information of its customers.
