Tebrau Woodlands Shuttle Sees Nearly 70,000 Tickets Sold

The Tebrau Woodlands shuttle train which started operation after being idle for 2 years due to the Covid-19 pandemic has received an overwhelming response with 70,000 tickets sold for the whole month.

Minister of Transport Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong who was in Johor Bharu to see the trains resume, hopes the additional transportation link can reduce congestion on the causeways. The shuttle is the last connective link to be reconnected since the border opening.

The Ministry projects 7000 commuters per day with an estimated 31 train operations including 18 from JB and 13 from Woodlands at 30-minute intervals. Service from JB starts at 5 am and ends at 10:30 pm while Woodlands starts at 8:45 am and stops at 11:45 pm, tickets are priced RM5 from JB and $5 from Woodlands.
