TNB’s Sungai Perak Hydroelectric Power Stations PPA Extended For Another 5 Years

Tenaga Nasional Berhad through its wholly owned subsidiary, TNB Power Generation Sdn. Bhd. has received an extension notice from the Energy Commission on the existing Power Purchase Agreement of Sungai Perak Hydroelectric Power Plants.

The six stations with a total capacity of 649.10MW have received an extension notice for another five years starting from 1 September 2022 till 24 August 2027.

TNB in its Bursa filing said the extension of the PPA will not have any effect on the issued and paid-up share capital and the substantial shareholders’ shareholdings of the company and will have a neutral impact on its earnings.
