Bursa Malaysia closed Monday’s morning trading session marginally higher, with the FBM KLCI gained 1.47 points to 1,498.
The gain on the FBM KLCI was supported by selected buying in selected heavyweight stocks, led by the financial services and healthcare sectors. The uptick of FBM KLCI is following the positive cue of Wall Street positive performance of last Friday.
The market exhibited positive breadth with gainers outpaced decliners 362 to 323, while 389 counters were unchanged.
Meanwhile, trading volume and value were 1.53 billion units and RM790.6 million respectively.
Some of the top gainers of the morning session were MPI, HL Bank, PMB Technology, SAM Engineering & Equipment, Malaysia Airports Holdings, Allianz.
Whilst top losers were Nestle, Chin Tek, KL Kepong, Panasonic Malaysia, F&N.
