MATRADE Digital Learning Launched To Guide Malaysian Companies In Exporting Success

A virtual learning platform which is MATRADE Digital Learning (MDL) was launched on September 8 by YAB Prime Minister Dato’ Sri Ismail Sabri bin Yaakob in conjunction with the opening of the Malaysian International Halal Exhibition (MIHAS 2022).

The MDL platform is one of the efforts of the Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI) and the Malaysian Foreign Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE) to improve the knowledge and skills of exporting holistically and quickly to Malaysian companies including Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises in the halal industry.

There are 13 practical modules offered starting from the basic guide to exporting, to how to meet the market’s requirements and then successfully explore the targeted foreign market. A subsidiary belonging to Universiti Utara Malaysia has been appointed to develop the MDL module and MATRADE also collaborates with Google in one of its modules that contains a guide to using Google products.

This module with Google aims to help companies in business and identify business opportunities in the export market as well as tips to attract customers online. In addition, there is also an awareness module regarding the Behavioral Insights (BI) method that is applied in government policy for the process of designing programs related to Malaysian companies.

MDL platform participants also have the opportunity to watch a video sharing the company’s experience in exploring the global market. The MDL platform can be accessed via https://mdl.matrade.gov.my.
