A Year Of Free Toll Up For Grabs As Touch ‘N Go Group Launches Contest

Touch ‘n Go Group has launched its Free Toll Contest where Touch ‘n Go RFID users stand a chance to win a year of free toll.

Users will need to purchase and activate their Touch ‘n Go RFID and use it at least 5 times for toll payments during the contest period to be in the running to win a year of free toll.  8 winners will be selected every 2 weeks. In total, there will be 40 winners of the Free Toll Contest.

The contest will run from 10 September till 18 November 2022 and is open to all Malaysians above the age of 18 who use Class 1 private-owned vehicles.

The implementation of Touch ‘n Go RFID is in support of the Malaysian Intelligent Transport System (ITS) Blueprint which involves the application of smart technologies and systems in traffic and mobility management for a more efficient and sustainable transport system.

The adoption of RFID is the first milestone in the journey towards a multi-lane free flow system for open road tolling.

With Touch ‘n Go RFID technology and integration, users can enjoy seamless, convenient and cashless transactions for tolling through the Touch ‘n Go eWallet application as long as they have sufficient balance.

There are currently more than 2.0 million active Touch ‘n Go RFID users and the number is rapidly growing.

Besides paying for tolls, Touch ‘n Go RFID can also be used to pay for petrol at selected Shell stations across the country. Touch ‘n Go RFID fuelling is currently available at 100 Shell stations nationwide and is expected to increase to 450 Shell stations within the next 2 years.

To refuel with Touch ‘n Go RFID, users simply need to park their vehicles at the RFID designated fuelling bays, and payment will be auto-debited from their Touch n’ Go eWallets, allowing them to proceed with refuelling their vehicles. Any unutilised amount will be immediately refunded to the users’ Touch ‘n Go eWallet accounts.

The Touch ‘n Go RFID tags can be purchased at the Touch ‘n Go Nu Sentral and Bangsar South service and sales centres, designated RFID fitment centres, and at selected petrol stations across Malaysia.

They are also available for online purchase via the Touch ‘n Go RFID portal, official Touch ‘n Go stores on Lazada and Shopee, as well as the Touch ‘n Go eWallet.  Users will receive RM8 cashback for purchases via the Touch ‘n Go eWallet and a RM8 reload pin for purchases via the RFID portal during the campaign period.
