FBM KLCI Rebounded Following Positive Cue of Regional Peers

Bursa Malaysia closed the Tuesday morning trading session in positive note with the barometer index FBM KLCI climbed 12.48 points to 1,464 from Monday’s close of 1,451.52.

The technical rebound is seen as in line with regional performance which in turn taking their cue from Wall Street’s performance overnight. Also, the index was buoyed by bargain hunting in selected heavyweight stocks.

Market breadth was positive with gainers outnumbered decliners 379 to 331, while 348 counters were unchanged.

Trading volume and value were 1.05 billion units and RM679.35 million respectively.

However, market is expected to remain cautious ahead of the US Federal Reserve’s interest rate decision on Wednesday.

Some of the top gainers for the morning session Petronas Dagangan, Nestle, Aeon Credit, MPI, Telekom Malaysia.

Whilst top decliners were Panasonic Malaysia, Carlsberg Malaysia, Heineken Malaysia, United Plantation, Country View.
