Luxury Hotel Chain Shangri-La Attacked By Hackers, Potential Leak Of Customer Data

8 Shangri La Hotels in Asia, including Singapore and Hong Kong, have reported hackers attacking their IT servers and could now be facing a potential breach of customer data.

The luxury hotel chain has hotels across the globe including here in Malaysia said the data breach could expose guest information including names, addresses, and phone numbers. The cyber forensic team was called in to investigate after the discovery of unathorised activities in the hotel’s IT system.

According to the statement, the affected hotels are the Island Shangri-La, Kerry Hotel and Kowloon Shangri-La in Hong Kong, Singapore’s Shangri-La Apartments and Shangri-La Singapore, Shangri-La Chiang Mai, Shangri-La Far Eastern in Taipei and Shangri-La Tokyo
