FBM KLCI Advanced 1.15% Higher at Noon

Bursa Malaysia’s ended the Monday morning in green as the FBM KLCI advanced 16.69 points or 1.15% higher at 1,464.0 as compared to last Friday’s close at 1,447.31.

The main index was lifted by buying interest continued to spread to key sectors, with interest in banking and technology stocks.

The key index opened 3.63 points higher at 1,450.94, and moved between 1,450.94 and 1,468.41 throughout the morning session.

The market breadth was negative with gainers trounced decliners 459 to 274, while 374 counters were unchanged.

Trading volume was registered at 1.79 billion units with total value of RM880.46 million. 

Some of top gainers of the morning session were Hextar Technologies Solutions, Malaysian Pacific Industries, PETRONAS Dagangan, Panasonic Manufacturing, F&N.

Whilst decliners were Texchem, Khind Industries, Carlsberg Malaysia, DKSH and Transocean Holdings.
