FBM KLCI Eased at Mid Day, Shed 0.68%

The local bourse continued its losing streak and ended the Wednesday morning session in red. The benchmark index FBM KLCI shed 9.92 points or -0.68% at 1,440.62 as compared to Tuesday’s close of 1,450.54 moved in tandem with regional bourses.

The KLCI oscillated in the range of 1,447.50 and 1,440.59 in the morning trading session.

On the broader market, decliners outnumbered gainers by 464 to 279, while 370 counters were unchanged.

Trading volume and value were registered at 1.36 billion units and RM796.8 million, respectively.

Sentiment was dampened by the geopolitical woes as well as cautious mood ahead of GE15.

Top five active stocks were Advance Synergy, Malaysia Steel Works, Top Glove, Hiap Tek Venture, and XOX.

Top five gainers of the morning session were Carlsberg Brewery Malaysia, Dutch Lady, Malaysian Pacific Industries (MPI), PLS Plantations, Chin Hin Group.

Top five losers, Hextar Technologies, Hong Leong Bank, DKSH Holdings, Khind Holdings, KLCC Prop & REITs Stapled.
