Most of Asian Bourses Closed in Downbeat Note, Ahead of Powell’s Address

Kuala Lumpur, January 10 – Bursa Malaysia ended in a downbeat note on Tuesday with the benchmark index, FBM KLCI regressed 8.29 points or -0.56% at 1,485.13. The performance of local bourse was in line with that of the regional peers as investors remain on a mildly jittery mood.

Meanwhile, Most Asian bourses fell on Tuesday as a pullback from recent rally fueled by China’s reopening. Market participants are taking a more cautious stance ahead of Federal Reserve Chair Powell address. Also in focus for this week is US consumer inflation data for December, which is anticipated to soften in price pressures.
