Keretapi Tanah Melayu Berhad (KTMB) announced an offer of 25 percent for one year for all Malaysians through the Sama-Sama Travel Campaign.

The CEO of KTMB Group, Datuk Mohd Rani Hisham Samsudin said, this campaign is a sign of appreciation for passengers following the Malaysian Family Discount throughout last year which was well received.

“In the Malaysian Family Discount which has already ended on December 31, a total of 208,603 passengers have taken advantage of the discount amounting to RM2,691,522.

“Therefore, this year we will hold a Sama-Sama Travel Campaign where it is one of KTMB’s offers to reduce the burden of living costs in addition to encouraging Malaysians to use public transport.

“KTMB is always grateful for the feedback from Malaysians who choose a quality, comfortable and affordable train service, especially those with families to go on vacation and return to the village,” he said at the launch of the campaign, at KL Sentral, today.

He added that in this campaign, group discounts of 25 percent are only valid for Malaysian citizens with the purchase of a minimum of four adult or child tickets in the same transaction by entering a promo code to be announced.

He said, this discount is valid for purchases from January 27 to December 31 this year involving all electric train services (ETS) and Intercity Express Services

In this ceremony, KTMB also celebrated the ETS Loyal Passengers for the year 2022 who were selected based on the frequency of using the ETS service according to the route, namely Kuala Lumpur-Ipoh, Kuala Lumpur-Butterworth, Kuala Lumpur-Pdg Besar.

Three lucky passengers were selected based on certain criteria and took home a prize in the form of a tablet, Railboutique items and top-up in KTM Wallet worth RM2,000.

One of the winners, Norizawah Anwar, 44, who has ridden ETS 320 times over the last year, felt happy and excited because this was indeed a great appreciation from KTMB.
