Sivakumar Visits India To Pioneer Collaboration In Alternative Treatment For Cancer Patients

Minister of Human Resources V. Sivakumar recently undertook a four days working visit to India from 1 to 4 April 2023, including Chennai and New Delhi. The purpose of the visit was to pioneer collaboration in the field of alternative medical treatment for cancer patients involving Perkeso and Apollo Cancer Center in Chennai.

The alternative treatment uses proton technology that Perkeso wants to use to support existing rehabilitation services. This can be done through collaboration with IBS Hospital in New Delhi.

According to Sivakumar, treatment by proton technology has no side effects for cancer patients. Perkeso also plans to establish and offer neuro modulation services for the treatment of injuries such as spinal cord, stroke and neurological problems like epilepsy and Parkinson. Sivakumar said Perkeso only offers rehabilitation services that involve a long recovery process.

He also witnessed the exchange of memorandum of understanding between TalentCorp and the National Skills Development Corporation, India in New Delhi on Tuesday, April 3, 2023. The memorandum of understanding provides a platform for cooperation in the field of skill development including technical and vocational education and training.
