The Malaysian Ministry of Education (MoE) agreed to give a special holiday to teachers and students on April 19 ahead of this year’s Aidilfitri celebration.
Its minister, Fadlina Sidek, said the holiday was given to make it easier for the parties involved to prepare for Raya.
“MoE agreed to grant one additional MoE holiday on 19 April 2023 for Group A and Group B.
“This decision is to facilitate the affairs of teachers and parents, especially those working in other states who have to cross the state to return home to celebrate Aidilfitri,” she said at the press conference to launch the Ministry of Education’s 2023 Freedom of Corruption Pledge and Integrity Forum in Putrajaya today (April 11).
