Fahmi: Malaysia Madani Logo To Symbolise Merdeka, Malaysia Day 2023

The government has selected the Malaysia Madani logo as the official symbol for the upcoming National Day and Malaysia Day 2023 celebrations.

Speaking at the launching ceremony in Kuala Lumpur today (May 27), Communications and Digital Minister Fahmi Fadzil announced that both historical events will carry the theme of “Malaysia MADANI: Tekad Perpaduan Penuhi Harapan” (“Malaysia MADANI: Determination of Unity Fulfils Hope”) which underlies the determination and commitment shown by Malaysians and her leaders as a nation which upholds a high spirit of unity, to continue living in peace and harmony and enjoy the nation’s prosperity together.

This theme is also supported by the concept of Malaysia Madani as the main key to ensure that the people enjoy all forms progress and modernity based on sustainability, national culture, creativity, confidence, well-being, respect and courtesy.

The unique logo design, symbolised by ‘the hand being raised, to pronounce the Rukun Negara’ contains the basic colours of the Jalur Gemilang in line with the identity and patriotic spirit of Multiracial Malaysia in which the people live in harmony, having one soul.

“It’s been 66 years since we were free from colonialism where people of various races and religions live peaceful and united in Malaysia. Indeed, Malaysia’s independence is for all. And, every Malaysians needs to appreciate the value of independence as history mirrors of our future.

“Malaysia is exemplary having a renowned stability index which guarantees equality in a socioeconomic context and its this stability which promotes shared prosperity,” Fahmi (Pic) said at the launch event.

Various national level programs will take stage during the National Month and Malaysia Day this year. Among them is the National Month Launch Ceremony and Kibar Jalur Gemilang 2023 on July 15 at Sultan Azlan Shah Circle, Ipoh, Perak then followed with the National Day Celebration on 31 August in Putrajaya and by the Malaysia Day Celebration on September 16 in Kuching, Sarawak.
