Mooncakes By Mandarin Oriental Kuala Lumpur

As Mid-Autumn 2023 draws closer, Mandarin Oriental, Kuala Lumpur is once again presenting the city’s most wanted Mooncakes from the award-winning Lai Po Heen available from 7 July onwards.

Continuing the path of sustainability, this year’s mooncakes are presented in an eco-friendly bamboo box with a premium finish and is lined with red velvet on the interior making it elegant and luxurious to the touch, perfect for every occasion. 

As an added twist, this year’s highlight features a string of chocolate mooncakes created by Executive Pastry Chef, Kevin Pannier, featuring a range of decadent creations such as Dulcey Chocolate with Raspberry and Peanuts, Mango-Vanilla, and one of the bestsellers, the Malaysian Dark Chocolate Ganache. 

The Halal-certified traditional baked mooncakes are also available and comes in a variety of flavours such as Assorted Mixed Nuts, Lotus Paste with Single Yolk, Pandan Paste with Single Yolk, Red Bean Paste with Almond Flakes, Low Sugar White Lotus Paste and many more. In addition to that, there will also be snow skin mooncakes with flavours such as Musang King Durian, Matcha Cream Cheese with Oreo Cookies and Lotus Paste, and Pandan Lotus Paste mooncake with Cashews, Macadamias, Almond Nut and Peanut Butter. 

The Golden Moon, made with edible gold, is also available in two flavours – Lotus Paste with Single Egg Yolk and Pandan Paste with Single Egg Yolk. 

Mooncakes by Mandarin Oriental, Kuala Lumpur are available for purchase at the online store or through the Mandarin Cake Shop at the lobby and is priced at onwards of RM40 per piece.
