JAKS Resources Berhad, together with its partners, Ann Joo Green Energy Sdn. Bhd. and Fabulous Sunview Sdn. Bhd. has been selected as successful solar power producer with a capacity of 29.99MW under the Corporate Green Power Programme.
As announced by the Energy Commission on 7 August 2023, only 22 out of the 71 applicants thus far have been successfully selected as solar power producers under the CGPP and 236.58MW out of the total 800MW allocation remains to be allocated.
JAKS chief executive officer Andy Ang Lam Poah said, “We are elated that JAKS has been appointed as one of the solar power producers alongside our consortium partners. We are optimistic of the success and execution of the project in view of the synergistic experience and capabilities which this consortium can provide. The awarded project aligns with our long-term goals in expanding our renewable energy portfolio whilst contributing positively to the business growth in the near future.”
