Harn Len Inks Deal To Explore Pineapple Plantation Business With Jutawan Enterprise

Harn Len Corporation Berhad has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Jutawan Enterprise to explore pineapple plantation business.

Upon signing of this Agreement, both parties will exchange information and documents to study the feasibility of the plantation business including but not limited to duties and responsibilities for each party, costing and the budgets, location, and logistics arrangements as well as responsible personnel arrangements. Through this collaboration, Harn Len said it will be able to participate in the development and management of pineapples without worrying about sales because Jutawan Enterprise is the largest exporter of pineapple products in the local area. As for Jutawan Enterprise, they aim to secure more fruit products to stabilise and strengthen its supply chain, considering that they are one of the major fruit exporters to the Middle East.

Low Yew Yern, chief operating officer of Harn Len Corporation Bhd, mentioned that pineapple plantations typically have a shorter crop life cycle compared to oil palm plantations. “Therefore, we believe that pineapple plantations may be able to
generate accelerated income for the company.” This is in line with the growth and business strategy of HARNLEN, as the company completed the Rompin land acquisition in June and plans to expand into the pineapple business.
