Pekat has redesignated Chin Soo Mau as the Managing Director of the Company with effect from 22 August 2023. On 1 January 2023, Chin relinquished his role as the Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of the Company, maintaining his position as the Executive Director of the Company, to focus on developing and managing Solaroo Systems Sdn Bhd and Pnexsoft Sdn Bhd (“PNEX”) as part of the Company’s corporate restructuring plan.
Since then, the group said he has successfully re-organised and developed revenue growth strategies for both SSSB and PNEX. As part of the second phase of the Company’s restructuring strategy and as the management is now confident that both of these companies are on track for healthy growth, Chin will reassume his role as Managing Director to provide stewardship to the group’s longterm strategic planning and direction. This role is essential in helping the group to optimise its organic growth as well as to identify new business opportunities.
The group is confident that this role will allow Chin to lift the businesses to new heights and create shareholders’ value.
Tai Yee Chee will remain as the CEO and as an Executive Director of the Company and will continue to administer and manage the businesses and the day-to-day operations of the Company and of Pekat group of companies.
