BEHRENS unveiled: B023 – “The Da Vinci Code”. “The Da Vinci Code” is based on a secret code hidden in an art painting for over 2000 years. Such a topic has been written as a novel as well as made into a movie over the years.
Interesting though is that “The Da Vinci Code” is, of course, fiction but readers were told that all descriptions of artwork, architecture, documents, and secret rituals in this novel are accurate, causing millions of readers to wonder how much they really know about “The Da Vinci Code”.
BEHRENS B023 automatic wristwatch has been designed based on “The Da Vinci Code” as a theme, from which the key element of this mechanical wristwatch is to imply the secret code into our design of the mechanism.
BEHRENS B023 – “The Da Vinci Code” is constructed based on a Swiss cal.2824-2 automatic movement as the power source, from which we have applied and installed a mechanical module that we have completely developed in-house to provide a satellite time display function. This satellite mechanical module features a 3-disc system that self-rotates every hour while the whole system rotates in orbit format around the center at 3 hours per revolution.
Unlike ordinary satellite systems, this time we have hidden most of the numbers for the hours’ indications just like how “The Da Vinci Code” has been hidden. To do so,special luminous plates were installed underneath certain locations so that only 3 numbers of the hours’ indications could be seen. Functionally, we have also added a “Date” display function at the 2:30 position of the dial. Besides that, the dial design has also added elements of “The Da Vinci Code” with a secret pattern yet to be explored and discovered.
BEHRENS B023 – “The Da Vinci Code” features the in-house designed and patented metal bracelet. What makes this bracelet special is that our engineering team has developed a push-button system for adjusting the length of the bracelet, meaning the bracelet’s length can be adjusted without the need for any tools.
Furthermore, to match the theme of “The Da Vinci Code”, they have also designed a special storage boxset that can only be opened with a secret code. BEHRENS is available exclusively at Red Army Watches located at Pavilion KL & 1 Utama Shopping Centre.
