Bank Islam Joins In To Waive Duitnow QR Payment Fees

Joining the likes of Maybank, Public Bank, and other banks, Bank Islam Malaysia Berhad has also assured merchants that they can continue to accept payment via DuitNow QR service at no cost, until further notice.

This comes as fear swept across the business community on the impending MDR that will kick in from October 1 which will be charged for every transaction. Depending on the service provided Payment, the quantum was to be anywhere between 0.25% to 0.5%, however, these fees are considered to be much lower than what the credit company charges at the moment.
