AirAsia X Berhad has announced the appointment of industry veteran, Dato Shazalli Ramly who till recently was the Group Managing Director of Boustead Holdings as its non-executive director.
Shazalli is known for his marketing prowess, having been in various industries including, television, telecommunication, tobacco, and plantation. From 2020 to 2022 he was the Group Managing Director at Boustead Holdings Berhad. Prior to that, he was the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer, of Telekom Malaysia Berhad having come from Axiata as its Regional Chief Executive Officer and Corporate Executive Vice President. –
Among his longest service was when he helmed Celcom as its CEO from 2005 to 2016, his resume includes being the Chief Executive Officer, NTV7 and Marketing Director, ASTRO, Group Brand International Marketing Manager, Malaysian Tobacco Company and British American Tobacco and Group Brand Manager, Unilever.
