Petronas Chemicals Group Berhad has introduced AireBlue a high-quality diesel exhaust fluid that is supposed to produce better and cleaner emissions.
AireBlue is a high-quality diesel exhaust fluid (DEF) made up of high-purity urea-based reagent that converts NOx emitted by diesel vehicles into nitrogen and water. When combined with a vehicle’s Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) system, the high-purity AireBlue solution can help to reduce the formation of impurities and result in cleaner exhaust emissions. This improves the vehicle’s efficacy in reducing NOx emission whilst prolonging the life of a diesel vehicle’s catalytic converter.
It was developed by PCG as a superior choice for vehicle users. It is certified by the German Association of the Automotive Industry (VDA) as a high-quality DEF, meeting the stringent product requirements based on ISO Standards 22241-1.
The diesel exhaust fluid will be made available at selected Kedai Mesra outlets for the first time. PCG said this was accomplished in collaboration between PCG’s wholly-owned subsidiary PETRONAS Chemicals Marketing (Labuan) Ltd. (PCML) and PETRONAS Lubricants Marketing (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. (PLMMSB).
