Mastex 2024 To Unite Asean For Trade And Innovation, Expects 30,000 Visitors

The Malaysia Asean International Trade Expo (Mastex) will make its arrival in 2024 to serve as a prominent platform fostering trade and investment opportunities between Malaysia and the region.

Held from Jan 23 to 26 next year at MITEC Kuala Lumpur, the expo will be an important platform for Malaysian exporters to showcase their latest products, services, and innovations to the Asean region and beyond.

Organised by the Asean Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Malaysia (ACCI Malaysia), the expo offers a networking opportunity for enterprises of all scales within Asean from over 50 countries including from F&B, manufacturing, agriculture, pharma, tourism, lifestyle, and finance.

ACCI Malaysia president Datuk Sohaimi Shahadan said the expo aim to showcase more than 200 local and international exhibitors, and it aim to receive 30,000 visitors.

“The expo will also feature five special focus areas including ESG, innovation, digital and green economy, halal industry, and technology, reflecting the evolving landscape of international trade and business,” he said in a statement following the expo’s soft launch today (Oct 31).

The event, ACCI Malaysia said, is curated to create a conducive environment for businesses in the Asean region, facilitate trade partnerships and foster regional integration and to strengthen bonds between Asean member states while encouraging intra-regional trade and cooperation.

Among the components of the expo are exhibition, business matching, conference and awards, The Mastex 2024 Awards Gala.

Topics selected are relevant to trade within Asean with speakers from government ministries and agency such as the Ministry of Investment, Trade and Industry (Miti) and its promotion agency Malaysian Investment Development Authority (Mida).

“Mastex receives full support from the Malaysian government, industry associations, chambers of commerce, trade promotion agencies, and media partners, all dedicated to creating value for all its participants,” the trade NGO added.
