AMMB Holdings Berhad has announced the appointment of Jamie Ling Fou-Tsong as its Group Chief Executive Officer and Chief Executive Officer of AmBank (M) Berhad, succeeding Dato’ Sulaiman Mohd Tahir effective 23 November 2023.
A chartered accountant, Jamie, a Malaysian aged 55, brings a wealth of experience and a proven track record. Jamie served as the Group Chief Financial Officer from 2017, where he manages the full spectrum of AmBank Group’s finance, overseeing the Group’s financial strategy and implementation.
Jamie’s in-depth commercial and financial experience covers key roles held in treasury, finance, risk management and sales in international banking institutions. His comprehensive career portfolio transcends corporate, investment, and retail banking, treasury, risk management and financial management.
Over the course of 17 years, Jamie has held leadership roles in Malaysia, the United Kingdom, and Northeast Asia. Jamie was the Regional Chief Financial Officer of Standard Chartered Bank for Greater China and Northeast Asia, covering Hong Kong, Taiwan, China, South Korea and Japan. Jamie was also a board member of Standard Chartered (Hong Kong) Limited and Hong Kong Note Printing Limited.
