Tony Fernandes Named Asia Pacific CEO Of The Year 2023

Capital A Berhad chief executive officer Tony Fernandes has been named ‘Asia Pacific CEO of The Year’ at the Airline Economics’ Aviation 100 Asia Pacific Awards 2023 in Singapore.

Voted by industry experts, the annual ‘Aviation 100’ poll by Airline Economics recognises and celebrates the industry’s most outstanding leaders, selected through a year-long process, consisting of regional-specific votes, and known for its credibility to identify the most exceptional figures in the industry.

Held on the sidelines Airline Economics Growth Frontiers Asia Pacific conference, the award ceremony was attended by some 700 aviation professionals, Capital A said in a statement today (Nov 8).

Applauding Fernandes, Capital A executive chairman Datuk Kamarudin Meranun said the recognition comes at a high time that the industry has hit the ground running, building and growing after the global Covid-19 pandemic.

“Congratulations to my partner Tony for this great achievement, as it reflects the hard work, resilience and dedication of all across Capital A.
