Bursa Malaysia was marginally lower at midday on Wednesday, weighed down by continuous selling across the board on a lack of fresh catalysts.
At 12.30pm, the FBM KLCI had eased 0.82 of a point to 1,447.20, from Tuesday’s closing at 1,448.02.
The benchmark index opened 0.61 of a point firmer at 1,448.63, and moved between 1,446.75 and 1,450.42 throughout the morning session.
Market breadth was negative, with decliners outpacing gainers 498 to 322, while 406 counters were unchanged, 1,153 untraded, and 85 others suspended.
Turnover stood at 1.79 billion units valued at RM1.07 billion, Bernama reported.
