Rural Connectivity Via Advanced Satellite Through Edotco, Zeta IOS Partnership

Telecommunication infrastructure provider Edotco Group Sdn Bhd and Zeta IOS Sdn Bhd, an integrated network solutions provider, join hands to revolutionise rural connectivity using advanced satellite technology.

The partners plan to develop an integrated fixed wireless access (FWA) and Super WiFi solution utilising advanced low earth orbiting satellite broadband internet technologies such as SpaceX Starlink, MEASAT CONNECTme, Eutelsat OneWeb as backhaul to deliver unparalleled end-to-end rural connectivity solution.

In a statement, Edotco said the partnership with ZETA IOS is in line with its mission to help accelerate equitable connectivity and aligns with the government’s ambitious goal to connect the last 1 million unconnected Malaysians across the country.

ZETA IOS was chosen for this venture due to its impressive credentials and capabilities in end-to-end integrated connectivity solutions.

The agreement exchange was witnessed by Communication and Digital Minister Fahmi Fadzil at a networking luncheon organised by Edotco during the TowerXchange Meetup Asia Conference on Nov 28 to 29 at Shangri-La Kuala Lumpur.

Edotco chief executive officer Adlan Tajudin said through our partnership with Zeta IOS, the group is taking a significant leap in connecting the most remote areas of Malaysia and fostering inclusive digital growth.

“This is where connectivity infrastructure under the National Digital Network (Jendela) initiative may not reach. The integrated FWA solutions utilising satellite backhaul service is not just a technological advancement; it’s a lifeline that bridges the gap with the rural community.

“We are committed to bringing connectivity to every corner of the country, transforming lives and empowering rural communities with the digital tools they need to thrive in the 21st century,” added Adlan.
