Former Human Resources Minister And Deputies Ousted In Major Shake-up

In a recent Cabinet reshuffle announced by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim on Tuesday, significant changes have been made, including the appointment of five new ministers and adjustments in portfolios.

The newly appointed ministers are as follows:

  1. Gobind Singh Deo: Appointed as the Minister of Digital.
  2. Datuk Seri Dr. Dzulkefly Ahmad: Assumes the role of the Minister of Health.
  3. Datuk Seri Johari Abdul Ghani: Appointed as the Minister of Plantation and Commodities.
  4. Steven Sim Chee Keong: Takes on the position of the Minister of Human Resources.
  5. Datuk Seri Amir Hamzah Azizan: Appointed as the Minister of Finance II.

Notably, former Minister of Human Resources, V. Sivakumar, is among those who have been dropped from their positions, along with several deputy ministers, including Ramkarpal Singh and Datuk Seri Aminah Aching.

This reshuffle also includes changes in portfolios for existing ministers. For instance, Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan, who previously held the position of Minister of Defense, has been reassigned as the Minister of Foreign Affairs. Additionally, Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin, former Minister of Higher Education, has undergone a portfolio change.
