Trust Bank, Thales Introduce Singapore’s First Ocean Plastic® Card For Sustainable Banking

Trust Bank Singapore Limited, known as ‘Trust,’ has partnered with Thales to launch Singapore’s inaugural Ocean Plastic® credit and debit cards, offering customers an eco-friendly alternative.

Constructed from recycled ocean plastic, the cards are assembled at Thales’ state-of-the-art Digital Identity and Security Manufacturing Competence Centre in Singapore.

Trust, which celebrated its one-year milestone with over 600,000 customers, is contributing to sustainable banking practices by introducing these environmentally-conscious payment cards.

The Ocean Plastic® card, comprising 70% recycled material from Parley for the Oceans, makes it a leading choice for environmentally-aware consumers.

Thales’ innovative manufacturing processes ensure the cards meet green certification standards, embodying Trust Bank’s commitment to sustainable solutions and reducing its environmental impact.

The Head of Credit Card & Lending at Trust Bank, Hasan Khan, emphasised their dedication to pioneering sustainable banking solutions, aligning with their core value of ‘Build to Sustain.’
