Health Minister Datuk Seri Dr. Dzulkefly Ahmad officially resumed his duties to lead the Health Ministry (MOH) and has expressed his determination to implement a comprehensive digital health transformation agenda.
“I am grateful to the Prime Minister and the Yang di-Pertuan Agong for allowing me to return to steer and guide the MOH. InshaAllah, with this team, I will shoulder this heavy burden of responsibility,” he stated after symbolically starting his official duties by clocking in at the ministry’s lobby.
Dr. Dzulkefly, who arrived at the ministry around 8:15 am, was warmly welcomed by Lukanisman, Dr. Zaini, and Health Director-General Datuk Dr. Muhammad Radzi Abu Hassan. Subsequently, he attended a briefing session with the top management.
Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, in his Cabinet lineup announcement, highlighted Dr. Dzulkefly’s return, emphasising that his experience is essential for strengthening the ministry.
Dr. Dzulkefly, who previously held the health minister portfolio from May 21, 2018, until February 24, 2020, now replaces Dr. Zaliha Mustafa, who has been redesignated as Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Federal Territories), reported Bernama.
