Continental’s Alor Setar Plant To Save 800 MWh Yearly With Rooftop Solar

Continental Tyre AS Malaysia has opted for Solarvest in leveraging the Net Energy Metering scheme to install a 618.75 kilowatt- peak rooftop solar photovoltaic system for its plant in Alor Setar.

The newly installed rooftop solar PV system will help the company offset at least 536 tonnes of carbon emissions and save more than 800 megawatt-hour (“MWh”) in electricity usage per year for the plant.

Plant Manager of Continental Tyre Malaysia, Mr. Noor Izwan Ismail said, “We are steadfast in our commitment to sustainability and this significant step taken with Solarvest underpins our efforts towards carbon neutrality. We are cognizant that reducing our carbon emissions and enhancing our energy efficiency are crucial for our journey towards a greener future.
